Project NorthStar - Annual Fundraiser - Washington, D.C.

Urban Petals provides the flowers for the National Building Museum's yearly fundraiser, the Honor Award.  This year the award was presented to "Visionaries in Sustainability" and we created arrangements made of apples, pears and orchids.  At the end of the night we returned to breakdown the arrangements and repacked 900 pieces of fruit which were donated to the DC Central Kitchen and delivered over 500 stems of orchids to For Love of Children the following morning to be used in their graduation ceremonies.

 

Urban Petals support Fair Chance, a nonprofit which increases the capacity of organizations working with youth and families in Wards 5-8, by providing flowers for their yearly fundraiser, The Butterfly Ball.

 

Urban Petals donated centerpieces to a fundraiser for the American Heart Association as part of a "Heart's Delight Wine Tasting and Auction."

 

Urban Petals provided white
rose and olive branch centerpieces for a Greek-themed fundraising event at the Kennedy Center for the Seed Public Charter School. 

Urban Petals conducted a flower party to benefit SEEC, an organization which enables persons with developmental disabilities who have significant needs to live and work as contributing members of the community through individualized advocacy and support. 

 

Other organizations that Urban Petals supports include Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and The Capital Area Foodbank.


Flowers for the Opening Celebration of Manna's Syphax Village in Southwest, D.C.

Urban Petals donated over 25 arrangements which decorated the City Museum for Manna's Friends of Manna Fundraising Event.

Urban Petals held a flower party for Pediatric AIDS/HIV Care  to support their efforts to strengthen the well-being of youth living with AIDS/HIV in Washington, D.C.
